In 2022 Gosling Electrical acquired Quad Electrical and relocated the operations to Coffs Harbour. Gosling Electrical now design and manufacture Quad Switchboards in our warehouses. Quad Electrical was established in 1963 and became renowned for specialising in custom designed and manufactured switchboards. Recently located in Coffs Harbour, the heart of the Mid North Coast of NSW, Quad Electrical provides quality custom built main switchboards, distribution boards and Power Factor Correction units.

Our Process

Gosling Electrical proudly designs and manufactures Quad Switchboards here in our warehouses in Coffs Harbour. Still operating as Quad Electrical Pty Ltd our team are experts in custom switchboards and provide solutions that meet your specific requirements with the utmost precision.

Our dedicated in-house team uses AutoCad, Microsoft 365, and Simpro to support our operations from Design to Delivery. This investment in systems ensures quality service and convenience for every client. Quad Switchboards are known as thoughtfully designed solutions with long lasting quality that adhere to industry standards. From assembly, to reporting, testing, and grading curve studies, we maintain high manufacturing standards to deliver reliable and quality outcomes for your projects.

We take into account essential factors such as physical space, weather conditions, and metering configurations to ensure seamless integration into your applications. To meet the demands of rigorous environments we offer a range of switchboards crafted from durable materials, including painted or powder-coated steel, as well as stainless steel. Our switchboards meet the strict weather sealing standards of IP65, ensuring resilience and performance in demanding conditions.

Adhering to the relevant Australian Standards and the Supply Authority Network is paramount to us. Our team provide quality design and supporting test sheets to meet these requirements. We take a customer-focused approach, offering seamless project management from start to finish.

Main Switchboards

  • Custom-built switchboards, distribution boards, control panels and Power Factor Correction equipment
  • Capability to manufacture switchboards with a capacity up to 6300A
  • Successfully tested to the rigorous requirements of AS/NZS61439
  • Our test achieved a 50KA/1 second rating, form 4b separation and internal arc fault test
  • Passed IP43, IP56 and IP66 protection requirements

Power Factor Correction Units

  • The power factor of an installation is a measure of how effectively a business uses its electricity supply
  • Low power factor results in the energy retailer charging more for the supply of electricity
  • It is a requirement that the installation power factor be maintained at 0.9 or better
  • Our team can assist you with guidance to manage your supply more efficiently 

Distribution Boards

  • We can can supply a selection of custom manufactured or proprietary distribution boards
  • They are designed to suit the specific requirements of each installation
  • They can be supplied in ratings from 250A to 2000A
